Home About
Named for what we do: put you in plain cite.
When AI answers a question, it cites its sources. Our job is to make your business one of them, clearly and accurately, where customers can see it.
What we do
More people now ask AI tools such as Google AI Mode and ChatGPT which business to choose: which solicitor handles probate, which physio treats running injuries, which software suits a charity. The answer names a few businesses and repeats what it has read about them.
In Plain Cite finds out what those answers say about you and your competitors, fixes what AI reads about your business, and shows you what changed. We work with UK businesses in any industry, from local firms to B2B software companies.
How we work
- We start from the questions your customers really ask, in their words.
- We save every AI answer we record, with its date, so every number can be checked.
- We fix the pages, profiles and listings behind the answers, and you approve every change first.
- We report what changed in plain English, including when nothing did.
Principles
- 1
Measure before claiming
Every result comes from saved, dated answers, never a single screenshot.
- 2
Accurate beats clever
We write what's true and checkable, in the words customers use.
- 3
Your business, your accounts
You own your website, profiles and content. Leaving is easy by design.
- 4
Within the rules
Your regulator's rules (such as the SRA, HCPC or GDC), the CAP Code, Google's policies and UK consumer law, every time.
- 5
No guarantees about AI
Nobody controls what AI tools say. We never promise that a tool will name your business.
Where we are
We're based in London and work with businesses across the UK, mostly by video call.
