This notice explains how we collect and use personal information when you visit our website, contact us, ask for a free AI snapshot, become a client, or when we contact your business. It is written to meet the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
In Plain Cite is a trading name of Zetta Systems Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17444832. Our registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ.
Zetta Systems Limited, trading as In Plain Cite, is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. In this notice, "we", "us" and "our" mean Zetta Systems Limited. You can contact us about anything in this notice at hello@inplaincite.com.
2. The information we collect
- Enquiry and snapshot forms. Your name, business name, work email, phone number (optional), type of business, town or area, website and your message.
- Correspondence. Emails and other messages you send us, and our replies.
- Business contact information about prospects. Names, job titles, business email addresses and phone numbers of people at businesses we may contact, gathered from public sources such as company websites, Google Maps listings and Companies House.
- Client account and project information. Contact details of the people we work with at client businesses, contract and billing details, approvals, and the records of work we carry out.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request, to run and secure the website.
We don't ask for special category information, such as health information, and our forms ask you not to include any customer, patient or medical information.
3. How we use it and our lawful bases

4. Business-to-business marketing and your right to object
We may contact people at businesses by email or phone about services that could be relevant to their business. We use business contact details only, and every message tells you how to stop hearing from us.
You can object to this at any time, free of charge. Reply "no thanks" to any message, or email hello@inplaincite.com. We'll stop contacting you and keep a short suppression record (your name, business and email address) so that we don't contact you again.
5. Where we get information from
Most information comes from you. For business outreach, we use public sources such as company websites, Google Maps and Google Business Profile listings, and the Companies House register.
6. Who we share it with
We don't sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it for us under contract, and with professional advisers where needed:
- Vercel Inc., which hosts this website.
- Formspree, which receives and forwards the messages sent through our website forms.
- Zoho Corporation, which provides our email.
- Professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, where reasonably necessary.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
7. International transfers
Some of our providers are based in, or process information in, the United States. Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, or on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, as applicable.
8. How long we keep it
- Enquiries and snapshot requests: 2 years after our last contact with you.
- Prospect information: 2 years, or until you object, whichever is sooner. If you object, we keep a suppression record so we don't contact you again.
- Client records: 6 years after the end of the contract, to meet accounting, tax and legal requirements.
- Server logs: for the period set by our hosting provider.
9. Security
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections, strong passwords and two-factor authentication where available, and we limit access to personal information to the people who need it.
10. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- have inaccurate information corrected (rectification);
- have information erased in certain circumstances;
- restrict how we use your information in certain circumstances;
- object to our use of your information, including an absolute right to object to direct marketing;
- receive information you gave us in a portable format, where processing is based on contract or consent (portability);
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@inplaincite.com. We'll respond within one month, and we may need to confirm your identity first. There is normally no charge.

If you're unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator: ico.org.uk, telephone 0303 123 1113.
